"You are good. But it is not enough to be good. You must be good for something. You must contribute good to the world.
The world must be a better place for your presence. And the good that is in you must spread to others."

Prayers of a Little One

Noah said the prayer over our dinner tonight. He always says the sweetest prayers and blesses everyone and everything he can think of. Then while he was doing his evening chores, he told me, "I'm going to buy Ellie a pink airplane when I get enough money, becasue she loves mine!" It just melted my heart because it is another example of his personality. Noah doesn't earn very much money with his allowance, he struggles with remembering to do what is required of him. Elisabeth usually can make a good amount of money. However Noah is always thinking of what he can buy for his sister. And at other times he always is sure to bring home something for her if he's out somewhere and gets something and she isn't there to get it too. Even at the New Year's Eve party at a friend's house a few days ago, he got a bazooka and then ran back to get one for her because she didn't know they had been passed out. He may seem like a little turd sometimes and is definitely a five year old boy, but man he really is so thoughtful. It's always a joke around here that when Elisabeth gets candy when Noah is not around, she quickly says, "Let's hurry and eat it before Noah sees!" But yet if it's Noah and he gets candy when she's not around he ALWAYS says, "Can we get one for Elisabeth too becasue she's not here!" Don't get me wrong, Elisabeth is very sweet and caring in her own ways. However, my sweet son really impresses me every time he shows his very thoughtful nature, especially for his older sister.

Amelia has been having a rough few days with these two chompers trying to come in. Yesterday she did not get a nap at all because we were out so much. Yet she still had a very restless night. Then she snoozed away for three hours today and by seven tonight she had zonked out watching "Bill O'Reilly" with daddy. He of course, loves it. I am afraid I'm going to be up all night with her again. I guess we'll see. But I do love to see them together regardless of what kind of night I might be in for!
